"Never let anything steal your peace"

Which is going to be my new mantra for the next 9 weeks. Well, that, and...

"Eat whatever and wherever you can!" :-)

I arrived at this amazingly fancy hotel around, oh, 1am (which, for you New Mexico people, is really 2am!!). And no, it wasn't because I left so horribly late THANK YOU VERY MUCH...ha, well, not only that! The whole "your license is going to expire while you are in CA so you should get one on your way out of town" bit didn't help things either!

Ahem, moving on.

After a day full of butterflies in the stomach, facing new challenges, and walking for miles (literally! our room was back in the far FAR corner of the resort), Rachel and I finally settled into the place we will call home for the next 63 days (which sounds much longer than 9 weeks, doesn't it??). Of course, we had to jump through some hoops to get into the same room, including proving my craziness to my "officially assigned roommate" in order to convince her to switch rooms. Not to worry -- those of you who know me understand that this process didn't take too long.

Speaking of crazy, did I tell you that I brought 7 boxes of green tea and only 4 hot yoga outfits? Yes, this is where my priorities lie.

But in all seriousness, the day was full of so many successes. We got out of the parking lot with a minimal $4 parking fee! We found the store that will easily become our haven on the weekends (Health Nutz), complete with vegan veggie wraps (on sprouted wraps!) and 7 flavors of Kombucha. Yes, Deb and Nichole will certainly see their fair share of us this summer! And lastly, after a day of worrying and fretting about not being able to room together, my sweet roommate decided trade rooms with Rachel.

Ok, my green tea is waiting and it isn't going to drink itself! Peace, love, and yoga hugs!
